maternity shoot

Here are a few pictures from our maternity session with Ali Caudill (click link to see the rest of the pictures she posted).  I can't thank my sister enough for this gift.  It will be nice to look back on these pictures and remember this time in our lives.  Every big event needs a photoshoot!! Ryan probably thought he was done with professional pictures after the wedding, little does he know! :)

31 weeks

We are now in the single digit countdown! I have been pretty lucky with the pregnancy so far and am still getting a decent nights sleep, other than the awful muscle cramps in my legs. Time to start back up with the treadmill and stretch those muscles! :) This week, I had another ultrasound and they were able to get a good picture of the baby. So darn cute :) 

Ryan & I received our christmas gift early from the Smith's - a maternity shoot with a great photog in the area.  KT is an AMAZING photog herself, but I don't think she wanted the pressure of taking my pictures because she knew I would be really picky. :) I'll post the pictures as soon as I get them.  I am hard on myself now but I know down the road I'll apprecaite them and won't just see the crazy weight gain. :)

colin :)

Colin LOVED riding in the Camaro with the girls down the street from my parents. He didn't want to be taken out of it. By the time he can drive it himself he'll have his little brother riding in it next to him  :) Can't wait for my newest nephew to arrive!!!

weekend

We had a busy but fun weekend! Saturday we headed to Arlington to visit the Higginbotham's, Allie and her awesome boyfriend Mike. Logan is getting so big and is just the happiest little 6 month old ever. It was nice to catch up with the girls and Mikey was giving Ryan some tips on what to expect with a little one. Oh how the conversations over beer have changed. :) I hope we didn't scare Mike talking babies the whole time! :)

then on Sunday we had our 2nd annual friends Thanksgiving feast at our house and Ryan fried a turkey, mmm! Last year we had Hailee who was 7 months and Emily was pregnant...this year there were 4 little ones!! I don't know if anyone saw that coming. :)

Gorgeous fall day + winery + an amazing friend. I'm still trying to get Adrienne to move to this area but I'm pretty sure she's a city girl. Maybe one day :)

baby shower

This past weekend my family threw me a gorgeous baby shower. My mom & sister should both go into party planning because they always think of every last detail. We are so lucky to have such great family & friends that have already spoiled our little girl. 10 weeks to go and everything is finally coming together. I'll post pictures of the nursery once it's finished, I can't wait! :)

29 weeks :)

25 weeks

25 weeks and growing :) Ryan felt her kick for the first time this weekend and I think he was surprised when I told him that was a "small" one. The kicks are definitely getting stronger and more frequent and I love it. I know eventually they might get in the way of sleeping, but right now I'm soaking up every little movement I feel.


Excuse my awful roots. My hair grows really fast to begin with and it grows even faster when you're pregnant. I should have gone back dark for this reason alone. Who knows, might change it up again. I'm crazy and can never make up my mind!

baby boy smith #2

It's hard to believe that in about 9 weeks I'll become an aunt to a little boy again! I can't wait to see how Colin will be with his little brother.  They are going to be best friends growing up 20 months apart. :) Knowing that I am only 5 weeks behind my sister makes it that much more real for me as well. With all the holiday's coming up, I know the rest of my pregnancy will probably go by so quickly.


We convinced Katie to let us throw her a small shower to celebrate baby boy Smith #2 and we had it this weekend at my parents house. They usually say you gain more weight with each additional baby but I'm pretty sure Katie is smaller than she was with Colin (she would probably disagree though) ;)

This weekend we went Charlotte for Bird & Jen's wedding. Bird is Ryan's best friend from college and was always like an older brother to me. I am so happy he found someone like Jen and can't wait for them to start a family of their own...I think it will be happening sooner than later. :) This was the first wedding I've been to since I've been pregnant and boy is it different being sober at a wedding. We had a great time though and are very jealous that the newlyweds are relaxing in ST. LUCIA right now.

This weekend we headed out to Stribling Orchard with the family for some apple picking and a picnic :) I love fall activities and they are only going to get better in the coming years with our little girl.

23 weeks pregnant...and lucky me, according to the doctors I'm measuring OVER 3 weeks ahead. either they have my due date very wrong or we're having a BIG baby. yikes.

...and this my friends is HEAVEN. Apple crisp & french vanilla ice cream. Ryan had the idea to add caramel into the apple crisp before baking it and it was soooo good. Still have some apples left so we'll be making another! I don't know why I've been taking pictures of food but just go with it... soon enough it will be picture overload of the baby :)

Nursery furniture ordered and bedding is on it's way! Everyone has been giving me ideas for the nursery and I know it's going to turn out beautiful. We have decided that the "color scheme" will be light pink, light green & white. Here is just an idea of what we're thinking thanks to my sis. :)

I don't feel like I look huge until I see pictures of myself, which is why I have been slacking on taking weekly pictures. I know I'll want them to look back on though so I'm forcing myself to just take them. Here I am at 20 weeks.....

halfway!

Ribbons & bows, tutus, leggings, painting nails, tea parties and all the other fun things that come with having a little girl are in our near future. We are SO excited. I know Ryan is going to be a great daddy and he already says she's probably going to have him wrapped around her finger. It was hard to get a good picture of her because she was moving around like crazy and every time she showed her face she would put her hand up to block it. I can't believe I am already HALFWAY there!! I was going to post a 20 week bump picture but it's a little scary, so here's a picture of the sweet little girl instead. :)

vineyards & babies

The rain finally stopped and we were able to enjoy the sunny weekend celebrating birthdays & babies. Friday night, Pauline & Josh welcomed their son Liam Cleveland into the world. I am pretty sure I got zero work done all day because I was just waiting to hear of his arrival. The emails going back & forth between my family were crazy, you would have thought it was KT or I going into labor. Pauline IS family to us though, so it's all the same. :) They went home today as a family of 3 and I know they are going to do an amazing job with their PERFECT son. Seriously, his eyes, nose, lips are all perfect. Congrats Pauline & Josh! I am so excited for you guys and can't wait to visit you all SOON!

My favorite little toddler celebrating his mom's birthday at Veramar Vineyards!! I can't enjoy the wine but at least the views are amazing! Colin loved his special cupcake from Nana & Grandpa! Couldn't you just eat him up!? Happy 30th KT!! xoxo

18 weeks!

Flutters!?! I swear while laying in bed last night I felt a few! I can't wait until I feel those first strong kicks. We are almost at the halfway point, time is flying by! We have been trying to think of names we like and it's so. hard.  Once we know if it's a boy or girl, it will be easier so we can just focus on names for that one gender.  And yes, we'll probably keep it a secret since everyone has their own opinions. Can't wait to start planning the nursery! Although if it's a girl, I'm pretty sure KT already has it all planned out for me. :)
