Brielle loves helping Ryan do anything and everything. No matter what he's doing, she's right behind him saying "daddy i wanna helllllp!" This particular night it was digging up a bush in the backyard.

It's no secret that I am a serious procrastinator. I make a list of things I need to do and then I typically put them off (which only makes the list longer) until I get really stressed out. ONE small thing I want to complete before baby #2 arrives is to get all of my photos & videos organized. We have so many videos of Brielle and so I wanted to put them all together in one montage (per year).  

My next item on my to do list is finish our 2012 and 2013 photo books. Everything is online these days and it's sad that things have changed so much that we never have physical copies of our pictures to look at from time to time, without having to pull the computer out. I finally completed this video last night and I've already watched it a million times. It's long, but that's because my other weakness is that I can't narrow down videos & pictures when it comes to this sweet girl.

bubble bath

enjoying a warm bubble bath after playing in the snow the other day. i had to hide the bubbles because she would have poured the entire bottle in.

canvas + watercolor + toddler.....and you get a beautiful masterpiece. or at least I think so. brielle was so proud of herself as she painted this canvas. she painted it all on her own, I would just rotate it around so she would get all areas (that's the OCD in me).  she would go in line and use every single brush.  towards the end she was just playing with the brushes in the water and then going straight to the canvas, rather than dipping it in the paint first.  i tried to redirect her which caused an almost meltdown, so I just let her do her thing. I can't wait to find the perfect place in our home to hang it

big girl bed

two things on my list to get done before the baby is here - potty training & transitioning brielle to a big girl bed. she asks to go potty every time we go, but it's more of a game so I'm going to put that to the side for a little bit. her crib converts all the way to a full size bed but we need to get a mattress and find bedding first. so in the meantime, we decided to put the toddler rail on her crib. we did it while we were home with her one day and she was all about helping her daddy. her nap in it was amusing. we just watched the monitor and were cracking up. she kept getting in and out and exploring all over. she eventually crawled back in and fell asleep. then last night was her first night and she slept just as good as she usually does. let's hope she keeps this up! here she is bouncing in her crib before we took it apart. my girl is growing up!!

warm february day

i think all parents of young ones can agree....COME ON SPRING! we finally had a nice day and could go outside and play without having to bundle up!  it's crazy because it just snowed a couple days before. that's northern, va for ya!
